Home for the Holidays
Home For the Holidays, Let it Snow event 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Parade at Noon 2:00 Time Capsule planting at the Courthouse

Home For the Holidays

We are getting back to the basics at this year's Home For The Holidays Let it Snow event. Beginning at 10:00 am organizations like the Pittsburg Lions Club, Pittsburg Leo's, and Rotary Club will have old time activity booths set up doing Cookie Decorating, Face Painting and such. At noon the Pittsburg Camp County Chamber of Commerce Parade will begin right down the center of town. After the parade witness a historic event as we dig up a Time Capsule that was buried 50 years ago to take a look inside. Afterwards you can enjoy a time of checking out our local shops and restaurants.

Contact the Chamber at info@pittsburgcampcountychamber.org or 903-856-3442 to sign up to be in the parade.

Main Street Pittsburg is hosting a black-tie, red-carpet affair, featuring a sophisticated cocktail party with live music, followed by a live auction and a specially written performance by The Way Past Primetime Players presenting their interactive rendition of “GREASE.”

Attendees will make their grand entrance onto the red carpet at the Whatley Center strolling past a beautiful selection of classic Shelby cars provided by NTCC’s Automotive Department. As they walk the red carpet, they will be officially photographed by Rosita Palmer Photography and other “paparazzi.” Upon entering the event, attendees will be serenaded by the smooth sounds of Jethro Mathis on saxophone, while local chefs offer tastings of their decadent signature dishes. During this time attendees will also have the chance to purchase mystery gift boxes filled with delightful surprises.

Following the cocktail portion of the evening, guests will move into the theatre for a live auction featuring unique dining packages donated by participating chefs. To conclude the night, attendees will enjoy an interactive production of “GREASE” written and directed by Jody Wilks, director of the Performance Supply Company.

All proceeds benefiting the City of Pittsburg’s life-size Carroll Shelby Bronze Statue, to be installed in downtown Pittsburg in front of the NTCC Culinary Center.

This will certainly be an evening to remember!

Texas Hot Link Festival
Pittsburg is the OFFICIAL Hot Link Capital of Texas.

Visitors from all over come to try our famous Pittsburg Hot Links. It's a delicacy dating back to the late 1800s. In 1897, Mr. Charles Hasselback, of German descent, brought the Hot Link recipe to Camp County. Today, they are known as the registered trademarked PITTSBURG® brand Hot Link. Every April we celebrate our Hot Link history with a Hot Link Festival. This festival will bring in several thousand people from around the country who want to experience our Hot Links. This festival is a culinary food adventure for sure. While you are enjoying your Hot Links, you can listen to live music, shop one of a kind artisan vendor booths, or hang out in the "Man Cave" with a cigar. There is something for everyone at this festival. And if you have not tired a Pittsburg hot link, one bite and you will be hooked!

A special event this year. Join us for the unveiling of a bronze statue of Carroll Shelby.
